I don't know much about cars, but can anyone help me find some struts for my 97 2.5 TL? I have a 1.7 inch drop with Eibach sportline springs w/ 18 inch rims.

Struts/ meaning shocks

iambriz: welcome to the forum! struts are long bars that go over your front 2 shocks of your car. sway bars are for the rear 2 shocks that go beneath the car. anyway, there is a sway bar for your car by a company called GAB

 

Struts/shocks are what keep your car from bouncing they absorb the bumps in the road..you know the thing in the middle of your springs...I think that's what he wants to know. Just the name is different w/ other cars.

 

I have a 97 3.2TL with Eibach Pro Kits and 18" wheels. I installed Koni sports on mine and it is a great set of shocks (struts). Make sure you get the externally adjustable damping ones (with an adjustable knob on top of the shocks). It also has height adjustment. You pay more, but it's worth it.

By the way, I believe these shocks are easier to install on your 2.5 than it was for my 3.2

ah, our car uses struts not shocks. the long bar that ties the front strut mounts together is called a "strut bar."
