Headlight Bulbs
My headlight bulb burnt out last night and im looking for a good replacement bulb. Anyone have recommendations? I wish I could afford a HID kit but I can't
How hard is it to remove these bulbs anyways? I haven't really had the chance to try, it's a 3.2 btw...

I've liked just about every type of Xenon bulb I've put in. The $30 dollar one's at best buy were even sweet I think. Its easy enough to change the bulb (H4)...there is just a clip you have to slide out of the way to get the bulb out. On the driver's side you have to slide out the overflow rez. The whole bottle just slides out of the way. You might have to use a screwdriver to loosen the screw holding the clip in on the drivers side. You'll see what i mean when you take a look.

ok i got the bottle and all that out of the way now how do i get the bulb out?
And what is that black bottle next to the coolant reserve? When I took it out one of the hoses came loose so I was wondering what it was

The best thing to do is look at the passenger side bulb...you'll see a little wire looking thing holding the bulb in place. You can just squeeze the wire on the ouside (facing the passenger side of the car) and the wire will pop out of place, then the bulb will just slide out. You do the same for the driver's side, but its more of a pain since you have about half the space to work with. I had to take a flash light to see in there, then I just loosened one of the screws holding that little clip in there, and slid the clip out of place, and got the bulb out. Its tougher than I thought it would be, but if you do it this way, you dont have to slide the whole assembly out (and if you have to do that, usually the clips break). let me know if that helps...

Oh yeah, the black thing...i cant remember for sure what it is right now. I'll run outside some later today when I try to debadge the 3.2TL and "acura" on the back. I dont think that tube is that important, as long as it finds its way back on. And 1 more thing, remember where I said to just loosen the screw...dont take it all the way out as it will probably fall into the engine bay somewhere and will be a bitch to get out of there.

Yeah, i'm just about to go somewhere to pick up something to clean off that crap. I can already tell thats going to suck, but it will look way cleaner I think without the 3.2TL and the "Acura" Oh yeah, the wire I'm talking about is a copper colored piece of wire (not electrical wire), almost like a bent paperclip holding the bulb in place. thats where the screws are...i recommend a flashlight for sure.

Just got it debadged...looks awesome. The only thing is you can still see a little more of the "acura" than I'd want...but my buddy is an auto body guy, and I was going to have him detail it this summer anyways.

Changed my bulbs You dont even need to loosen the screw just push the paperclip wire in and pull it up and it comes out.
Yea...i can still see ACURA and 3.2TL in my trunk in certain lights...i guess its a result from having a black car. But some 3m rubbing compoud will take most of it away. I've had my car debadged for like 6 months now and im still trying to get the imprints out :p
