Front Strut tower brace for 3.2 TL
Hi guys, I have information that may help people needing strut braces.
I have been searching desperately for strut tower braces and sway bars and I discovered that the G2 Legends have factory braces that mount back to the firewall (similar to the factory ones on the G2 TLs). I measured it today and I'm 99% sure it will simple bolt onto our TLs. I ordered it from Acura and will be installing them next week after it arrives. The cost will be around $75 canadian (less than $50 us)
I also found out that some people are putting on aftermarket strut bars on their Legends that are made for Honda Preludes. The bars have to be bent up in the middle slightly to clear our engines or shimmed up at the strut towers. I found out about the Prelude ones after ordering the factory ones, so I will try the factory ones first.
Nothing yet on sway bars.

After being told by Acura that the Legend tower brace is in stock and will be shipped in one day, now they tell me it is back-ordered for two weeks. I'm also checking if a 97+ Prelude bar will fit. If so, I'll install that if it comes in before the Legend one does.
A friend who installed a tower brace on his Maxima said that it improved his handling as much as when he installed H&R springs and new shocks.
I'll keep you posted.

sorry to sound very ignorant
but the legend tower braces you're talking about.. is it the bar that goes over the engine (visible when you open the hood) or one that goes under the engine (not visible)
thanks

The Legend tower braces actually start at the strut tower and go back to the firewall. It is much like the ones on the 2nd Gen TLs, but without the additional top bar.
I got tired of waiting for Acura's backorder on my strut tower brace, so I purchased an aftermarket brace for an Accord. The bar is shaped just right but the brackets don't fit, so I am in the process of designing the brackets using 3/16 plate. I'll let you guys know how it turns out.
