Foglights switch question

Now I know this is a long shot. I'm working on a ultra top secret project for my interior lightning, and I need some DC 12 volts source. So what I'm planning to do is to use the electric current from the ashtray light, and route the wires to the foglights switch on the center console so I can toggle the power on and off. Some wires would then be routed to a "device".

The issue here is that there is 6 pins coming out of the switch, and I don't know what is what. I suspect 2 of them are the positive and negative "input", and some other 2 are the "outputs" going to the seats heater switches. The last 2 pins would be going to the foglights I guess. But I must be totally wrong haha.

So yeah, I'm kinda clueless because I don't even have the original harness to figure things out. Anyone have an idea/knowledge on what pins are what? If not, where should I look to acquire that kind of information..? Thanks in advance for any help!

Here's what the whole switch look like. Fantastic:

And here are the infamous pins:

PS: The 3 switches on the center console are unused for the moment since I bought the wood trim to replace the plastic one that didn't have any switches on it.

PS2: I know trial & error is a solution, but I'm keeping it as a last resort!

PS3: No I'm not telling anything more about that ultra top secret project for the moment.

No clue about the pinout, but two or three pins are for the little green light to turn on, and two or three should be for the fogs themselves (+12v, Ground, Signal). Whatever you're doing, you can't beat the ~Ladies' Night~ crew of S-MXs, . Only two of their S-MXs came out the other night, but here's a video:

My phone sucks in the dark but yeah. She turned off some of the lights when she drove away, too.

~Cheers~

P.S. They had a Suburban and some other vans but they left earlier.

HA! Aw man, gotta LOVE Japan. But those S-MX are in another league tho hehe.

Thanks for the guesses, it sorta makes sense that only one pin is carrying the signal to the foglights. But then that would means that the fogs take their juice from another source, and the switch is just sending the on/off signal. Which makes me think that there may be no power output pins on the switch, arrg. I wish I was more logical thinking, but I'm kinda dumb when it comes to electricity. I'll try to find a wire harness from a junkyard this weekend. If only I could take the damn switch apart, but it's a solid plastic piece.

Also, can you please tell me what's the song playing in the background in the video? I'm editing a movie with a pursuit on foot in it, and I'm looking for that type of song.

^ I don't remember the name. My friend changed the song right before I started the vid and I wasn't paying too much attention to it, haha. After they left, though, I took the R32 for a spin around the lot. Man, Skylines drive smooth!

Well that is most probably a tremendous find! I don't think I could find something more explicit than this, thanks alot I really appreciate.

Now, I just have to hand this to someone that speak that language haha. I've been checking this close to my screen and scratching my head for the last 10 minutes and i'm totally lost. My mech sould be able to decode this somehow. If not, trial & error ftw.

PS: Why is there 2 bulbs? Is there 2 indicator color? (I've never seen the switch in action)

IIRC, the little fog picture lights up which the parking lights, then the green bar is lit when the fogs are on. My bulbs burned out so I don't know, haha.

Alright I figured it out. I was lucky, it took me 5 mins to test different wires patterns and find the one I was looking for. I already had the manual, but I didn't expect to find something that precise in in hehe.

If somebody want to use the foglight as a generic switch, here's where to plug what:

Thanks for the help, project is moving on!
