fix old rims or get new ones??? need advice
I am contemplating on new rims once the kit is in, so I can have my car looking clean. I love my Giovanna Corsicas, but as you all know those rims are quiet old already, Ive had them for 5 years already. I can fix 2 big dings and rechrome them for about $500.00
Or my buddy just told me about these rims he has at his shop, they are 19's silver with tires for around 1100 to 1200 with tires.
what do you guys think
Quick note, i dont drive the car anymore, wife does, but i still love the TL. So obviously I need to take into account the wives driving skills (could hit potholes) etc. although I must admit I did put those dings on my rims...LOL
Thanks
s13 rims my buddy is offering me
Also i would take into account the fact that I could also sell my rims too someone out there which would make the price difference anywhere from 200 - 300 from rechroming to getting new wheels

Given the price you quoted, Id say get some new wheels. Change is good, and you had those wheels for 5 years now so go for it. If the wifey drives the car id be careful about the 19's.

your ride will ride like crap with 19s. what i do is ride on stock during when schools in session but when im out for winter/summer break, i put on the aftermarket wheels.

Yeah, I know it's hard enough keeping my 18's true when I WATCH for potholes, but with a chick driving, she PROBABLY ( I know there are some chicks out there who DO repsect their rides!) won't be as careful about it. And the 19's will be even easier to damage.... but they will look sweet though.

old tire size: 225/40/18
now: 245/35/19 - recommend 235 max unless you plan to to flares..
i really dont feel that much of a difference..
