dynoed a 2.5 yet?

has anyone tried dynoing a stock 2.5 (aka no mods whatsoever including rims, custom CAI, etc)? i would like to see how much my TL produces at the wheels.

I dont have the sheet anymore, otherwise I would tell you all the specs. But it was like 126-129hp to the wheels. But I had 18" 3-Piece RH C2 on at that time.

havent dynoed

yeah i came across a webpage about our cars it said the 3.2 is at 200hp at 6300 rpm and the 2.5 at 176 at 6800 at the probably like 150 or 160

thats not possible, is it? i thought the HP at the wheels can never match the HP at the crank...

that's way off.. Like I said it was in the LOW hundreds to the wheels.

i agreed if you have the web page pls email me i think the most stock 3.2 is maybe 165-175 dont really know. but if anybody knows what a 3.2 96 does pls let me know reynoso2299@msn.com

i always thougth that you lost around 20 -30 hp from the crank to the whees give or take

Drivetrain loss is usually 12-20%.. General rule of thumb is a 15% loss in horsepower from the crank to the wheels, but I think it may be a tad higher considering that would be 150 to the wheels for a 2.5TL. I know I GTeched my g/f's 2.5 and it only went a 16.8 in the 1/4 mile w/ her in the car. I don't care enough about rwhp to dyno it but will probably run it at the track sometime soon..

2.5 runnin 16.8 in a 1/4 mile with your girl damm any mod to the engine? imagine a 3.2 the different is 1 more cylender.im going to the track soon but im running 100shot of nos with cold air i wanna see what i do i'll post it up lets see?
