Question Driving lights/driving fogs

I know this was posted before but I can't find it. I don't want my fogs to come on when I turn my headlights on. I would like to manually turn them on or have them come on when I turn the parking lights on.

Do you mean the factory fogs or aftermarket fogs? If you mean the factory ones then you have to give the switch power but I'm not sure how to do it. For aftermarket fogs, just use one of the parking lights as a remote to your switch or you can even use constant power but then they can be turned on all the time.

Maybe I wasn't clear about the fogs. I am talking about the yellow factory fogs. I want the ability to turn them on even when none of the other lights are on . I know the switch to the left will turn them on and off when the headlights are on

That would be cool - I thought about having those fog lights switch up with the parking light, so i can have them on when the parking lights are on but without having the headlights on.

I'll check it out - If anyone have done this before - HELP

I should be charging you guys for this information,
but since I'm a nice guy, here's how you do it:

1) Remove the access panel located underneath the steering column.

2) Look for a solid RED wire and a Red/blue (red with blue stripe)
Jump these two wires( this bypasses the headlight switch) and allows your FOGLIGHTS to be on anytime! ..... Just don't forget to turn them off!

3) Go test it at night!!

I removed the access panel under the steering column but my wires are actually on top of the steering column.
I have a light (factory alarm light) on the top of the steering column cover which wouldn't allow me to take off the cover without cutting the wires. Is there anyway else to access the wires I need without cutting those the factory alarm light wires?

Yes. Maybe I removed the wrong cover.

I removed the cover from under the steering wheel cover.
I saw a bunch of wires leading to my signal light but they were on
top of the steering column. When I tried to take the cover off from the top of the steering column I couldn't without cutting the led light. Was I in the wrong location for the wires? Is there some where else to access the two wires I need for the fog?

I think you removed the wrong panel,
It is the large panel (approx. 12"x6" in the driverside footwell area (two philips screws).
You should find the wires there.

Funny this is I took the two screws from the very panel you are talking about but I think it is still attached by 2 clips. I pulled on the panel thinking it would pop out but got scared I was going to break something. Can you confirm there are only clips remaining and I can just pull them out?

You have to take off the panel on the bottom of the dash, by your knees. It has 2 philips screws on the bottom and 3 clips on top. Just pull gently and it will come off.
