I was wondering if this was possible and if any one ever tried this.. on the first gen fogs it's a 3hc bulb and wireing ,, is it possible to use some wireing harness and change the wireing from 3hc to 3h .. i've seen some harnesses at procarparts.com would the wireing be possible...

that way you can use aftermarket 3h bulbs ... i've seen the threads where you can use the bulb but you would have to ground it, and buy an extra bulb for it's wires ...

i just figured if this was possible it would be easier to change bulbs and it would allow you to run a higher watt bulb.. with out burning your wires..

someone has done it before and theres instructions on how to do it and its easy cuz i did it with those instructions. so just do a search and you should be able to find it. Im not sure if it was on this forum or the AW forum.

Get a short wire, put a crimp-on ring on one end, and a square crimp-on tab on the other (the tab should be about the same size as the tab on the H3 bulb wire), unscrew the bottom philips screw in the foglight housing, secure the ring to this screw, plug the other end of the wire into your factory H3 plug, plug the H3 bulb wire into the other one, and you're done!

titanxboss... these h3c bulbs are 100w isn't that more than the wireing can handle... ??

I wouldn't put in higher wattage bulbs... you could melt the housing.
