Clear bumper/turn signal lense owners!

Does that title even make sense??!

Anyways, for those that have the clear lenses, do you use amber bulbs for the turn signals? Or just keep the clear bulbs?

I can't find 7440 bulbs in amber anywhere!

note:
not the corner lights or the bumper running lights, the front blinkers.

I just left mine clear bulb since I also can't find any amber 7440 bulbs. But I'm contemplating about changing them to superwhites.

well, turns out there are a few places you can get them apparently, as such:

http://www.prolightstar.com/access_bulb/polarg_m1.html

&

http://store.racinglab.com/polm1hyp74bu.html

&

http://www.sounddomain.com/item/EUR7440A (cheapest i saw)

i'm not for sure if these are the exact ones you are looking for?? but if so, there are a few options. sux to wait for em, but you can get em! i just hope they are the right plug style. but they are the 7440 amber....cheers!

Morph is in RI

I have the stock clear bulbs, would rather save the money towards something else (I know, I know, I'm cheap sometimes).

Unsane, no worries, I'm lazy too, and I really don't mind to re-post cause half the time I can't find the crap I need anyways! Actually, I get the bulbs from my G/F's cousin, he picks them up for me whenever I need cause he gets them cheap from his supplier. I have the boxes at home and I will check tonight when I get home what brand they are. I think I paid like $25 CDN for the cornering lights, and the two sets in the bumper lights. Yes, the blinkers both blink the same colour. I am going to swap out my harnesses on the inside bumper lights, to make them stay on all the time plus blink with the signal, instead of only coming on with the blinker. I think it looks better this way. I am trying to find POWER AND HEATED Euro style mirrors with the turn signals in them, but I have only seen non power ones. Not willing to give up my oper and heated mirors just for it, but they would look nice.

P.S. ..... Thanks for liking my front end!

You think you would be able to hook me up with a complete set of bulbs? (corner and bumper set) That sounds like it will look nice, the different way of blinking. If it works out let us all know.

I'm suprised no one tried yellow bulbs to match the foglights. I use to do that in my other cars when I had clear bumper lenses. But now all my cars are black so it's all about amber.

The amber ones are a different number. The corner ones are a different number too.

I have amber signals and clear corners. If i'm correct, it's illegal to have clear turn signals.

well it's illegal to have certain tint on your windows and what not, but you have to get a really bored, dickhead'ish cop to stop you for that type of stuff. i'm driving around with too dark tint and no front plate on my car atm. i'm moving to a state that doesn't require front plate and doesn't care about tint. i'll be damned if i'm going to change my ways for this state of Iowa. :P

I'm not sure of the cheapest place to get them, but you can easily do it yourself. There are 2 phillips screws on each light. Just hope that they aren't rusted like mine were

It's really easy to install them. I saw a G1 TL last week with running lights in all if the lens. It looked really good.

Does anyone know what brand & kind that is pure white (for 7440 bulb)? Most are tinted blue and the others have yellow in them. I want a brite white.

Also I have my front blinkers set to where they stay on & blink. One of them dims really fast so it looks like its blinking really fast. Does anyone know how to fix that??? Did anyone else to that to their blinkers?

when a light blinks fast...usually means the fuse is shot or bout to be. so not sure if that will fix yours since it dims fast.....but could be of use.

What? That's crap... I mean, your lights look great but mine are crap! I have the same blubs but they're nowhere near as blue (actually, you're are kinda purple but that's cool). My bulbs emit a super white light, instead of a blue one. But at least they last... with a week or two, they'll be over a year old.

7443s will work in the tail light or stop light harness.

BTW guys, I got a question...

The 7440 is for the signal lights (the amber lens, on the bottom), right? So I would need 4 of them. What watt bulbs do I need for these?

They are very easy to put in. My screws were rusted and hard as hell to get out.
I baught amber blubs, but I think I will change them and put in clean blubs that put out amber light

7443, I found in Amber, made in japan bulbs. They work ok. They are supposed to be for Tails, Stop Light, but works ok with the Signals.

7440 is for the Signals.
