I've been experiencing an ongoing problem starting my 96 TL. A couple of months ago, it wouldn't start the first thing in the morning. Turn the key and nothing. Everything electrical seems to work fine otherwise. I checked the battery and ended up settling on replacing the starter. Now it starts the first thing in the morning but it fails to restart after I have restarted it 2-3 times with the last restart occurring while the car is still at operating temperature. Turn the key and nothing. I can give it 30-40 minutes to cool off and restart with no problem. Clearly, the engine heat is affecting the electrical system in some way, but diagnosing exactly what is causing this problem is still out of reach.
