Bye bye Saber
Well, my Japanese Mandatory Vehicle Inspection has coma around and I FAILED with flying colors......about $4000 to get it on the road again. So I've decided to have it sent to the Philippines or somewhere.
T'was a nice car. ( ;_.
I'll be driving the company 2002 Subaru Legacy non-turbo slower-than-shit AWD for a while.......
I'll save up some money and definately get me another piece of that! But I'll get the 2.5L next time....with leather seats and other anemities!

Well first of all, it'll cost around $2500.00 just for paperwork and inspection. Then I've got the yearly $600.00 road-tax to pay. Then I've gotta put replace the two front struts ( One blown and one leak....leaks dont pass either) and a new set of springs. Then the CV boots need to be replaced, and dont forget the steering boots. Need new brake pads. Need 4 new tires............................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. .........so, I cant afford all them parts and labor ( even if I tried doing some myself). Its not easy owning a car here....especially "big" cars. Cars tax class, inspection class etc. depends on car weight, engine size, car width and all other BS! Since my car falls under "big" in all class, I pay more than my left nut.

That's some hardcore inspection. Basically a big brother mechanic having you restore the car to pristine conditions.
Although something like that might not be tooo bad in the states (minus the taxes). I've seen some real beaters on the road that shouldn't be there.
OT but you know in Texas, its illegal to operate a car that has non working wipers. You don't need a windshield to pass inspection but you have to have working wipers.

That's Japan for you... It's why I don't complain about smog testing here. I also don't complain about gas prices as we are CHEAP compared to other countries.

BTW, don't you think it's kinda weird how the UA1-2-3 didn't have power folding mirrors? Unless you do and have never mentioned it... in which case I'll take those as well. My Accord had power folding mirrors and it was a 3rd gen...

I think Japanese Gorenment should make it drivers responsibility to take care of their own cars...if the wreck was caused by malfunction of vehicles, then its the drivers problem. Japan takes money for everything. You gotta even pay for parking, at your own apartment ! Parking is not included in the rent even though parking space is built with the apartment. And get this, if you have no place to park, you can own a car. You gotta get a seal from landlord or parking lot owner, take that to the police station, pay $30.00 ( cuz they gotta come out and check to see if the parking space is ligit and exists). Its all about money.....sux. So, used cars are cheap! Or else no one can afford any vehicles! Oh yeah, GASOLINE is now about $7.00 a gallon and rising ( also groceries. It costs more for transportaion of food due to rise of gas)......(*_*)

I want to buy your car. There, I said it. Just can't afford it ATM, hehe, got too much going on... Damn, I was hoping to meet you and go for a ride in your car when I fly over in a couple months... Maybe hand-carry some parts home, hehe.
