Blue Devil...we shall see
Blue Devil...we shall see
so i used this Blue Devil pour and go on my 3.2. i know i have a bad head gasket but its not to the extreme stage yet so im hoping this will atleast hold up until i can save the money for all the parts and labor. so far im pretty damn shocked!! its been 2 days and everything is going great. but im not 100% convinced yet...so i shall see but so far so good and like i said i am pretty shocked so far.

I used the pour and go blue devil in a 98 2.5 tl. I had exhaust bubbles in the expansion tank and a misfire at startup on cylinder no 3. I was adding about a quart of coolant every two weeks with no signs of a leak. I followed the directions and after 10 mins the car started overheating so I turned it off. I didn't have an over heating problem before. I let it cool down and I looked in the radiator and I had large gel like clumps clogging the radiator. The heater was blowing cold air even though the engine temp spiked. I started it back up after it cooled down and the temp stabilized. I took it for a drive but the heater was blowing cold air. I brought it back home and noticed the water pump was pumping white crystalline blue devil and coolant out of the weep holes. I just changed the water pump in Jan. I ordered a new water pump, drained the coolant and flushed the system with prestone cooling system treatment. I changed the water pump and filled the coolant up and bled the system. No leaks so far and now coolant level change. Did blue devil work? I don't know, but I do know it clogged my radiator and heater core.
sounds like u didnt follow the directions at all. i did everything with precision...while i was letting it idle the temp was starting to climb but the trick is to just get it up to 2500 rpm and it will drop back down to normal...it sucked to do that but i was in it to win it. as far as overheating and bubbling in the reservoir, misfiring, water pump problems, heater core problems,... ive had none of that. so far so good. alot better than where it was before blue devil. but the true test is the next coming weeks. if its still like this in 2 weeks i will be convinced.
everything is still goin great with the blue devil treatment. i havent had to put any coolant in almost a week now. no more air bubbling in the reservoir and no temp spikes. this is the first time since ive had the car that i havent had to keep putting coolant every couple days. its lookin like this stuff is legit. i'll give an update again soon to let y'all know how its going.
