augh! bumper got munched, please advise...
So the day after I turned the rotors & replaced the brake pads, painted the calipers and was feeling pretty groovy about the TL, this happened:
I don't think there's any damage to the bumper, just the bumper cover. The handy Acura PDF service manual makes replacement look like a breeze, so what's my best option:
1) find a salvaged bumper and get it painted?
2) Find an OEM one somewhere?
3) Get the body shop guys to knock it out and re-paint?
I'd rather handle it myself rather than get insurance involved, so the cheapest option to get it back to normal-looking is the best. Any recommendations on good salvage yards would be great...I haven't had luck in the past with NW WA state junkyards.

was there any hole from the hit like a stress crack hole? should be able to reach from the backside, push it out, use a HOT hair blow dryer or heat gun to smooth it out, try some heavy duty compound to polish it a bit, and take the rear tail light out to get the bumper back onto the clip to hold it back in place.
hope this helps

there doesn't seem to be a hole or crack in it, although the top of the dent is creased pretty sharp. I tried getting under it to pop it back out but it won't budge- going to try taking it off in a couple days when I get home (I'm traveling & don[t have a place to work on it). paint is fubar of course..wondering if it'll be cheaper to get a salvage bumper with stock paint than try to get this one redone by a body shop (provided the dent can be repaired).
