I saw that you are gonna replace the lights in your cluster..I was just curious about that, are you going to use LED's? I was thinking that maybe they wont spread enough light. Also are you going to replace the bulbs that light up your needles? What color are you going to do for the numbers and needles? I really wanted to get a color that looks close to the VW cluster, its a very dark blue.

I'm planning on using blue LED 168 bulbs. I think they'll spread enough light. If the light beam is wide enough for my parking lights then why not the cluster? The 2 bulbs that light up the needles are easy to get. I can get them in regular blue bulbs or blue LEDs as well. The bulb number is 74. Actually I already have a 74 blue LED that fits right in there. I bought it to test out the shifter light and cig. lighter which is the same bulb. It fits perfectly but it doesnt spread enough light to light up D1 and D2. I'll have to drill a hole and add another one. The 168 bulbs are 16.50 per pair and the 74 bulbs are 9.50 each. Dont worry, I'm doing this real soon I just havent had time lately. I still have to open the switches on the left side of the steering wheel and see what type of bulbs are in there.
