Hey guys, I'm fed up with my racist cd player. It now only wants to play some real cds, and thats only by doing the "insert cd and immediately holding the fast forward button trick". Anyway now I'm gonna pop the top off the deck and adjust lens.
So any of you guys got any tips?? Have any of you done this? I guess Im just gonna mark the original adjustment of the screw and then keep messing with it until it plays all real cds and hopefully my cd-rs.

By the way, earlier this week I popped the top cover to the deck and cleaned the lens with lens cleaner and a q-tip. It helped for a little bit but now its acting like a lil bitch again. So thats why Im going to the last resort.

there must be some lens unit use in other applications that will bolt right up to 1st gen HUs.
