Another 1G Sold

I sold my 97 Acura 2.5TL on craigslist today in 2 hrs. I priced at $1250 w/ bad ac blower fan noted and it sold like hotcakes at fair. I probably could have got a few more bucks, but I'm happy w/ the price and buyer seems pleased also.

I'll pop in frequently as these 1G's are a soft spot, but they are b**** to work on.

Regards

Hey I too sold my TL earlier this year for just about that much. Everything was still working well except for the right rear lock solenoid. New owner was my wife's co-worker. Was supposed to be for her son, but I hear her husband likes the car so much its now his daily driver.

TexasHonda, your posts have helped many of us keep our TLs running right. You are much appreciated...Now if you can just buy an LS430 or CL-S and start posting please. Aw heck, to simplify matters just tell me which car you will be maintaining next so I can buy the same.

Well, I'm trying to interest my wife in a 2004-2006 TL. She wants a "sports car" and has looked at a couple of BMW 3 series (325i, 330i). I'm not crazy about these but they are better than the 350Z she initially wanted.

I'll keep you posted.

regards

Thanks TexasHonda for everything. If you were local, I would have gone to help you with the blower fan... (or at least that PITA wire clip...)

I just picked up a 02 Accord - MANUAL!!! so my TL will also have to go soon. It's still in great condition so I'm planning to give it to my father-in-law. I still can't get over how smooth our engines/trannies are.

I would have loved to get a 325i but german cars and salt just don't go well together. Do let us know what you decide (and your reasoning) as a lot of us will have to make a similar quest sooner or, preferably, later.

Happy to announce my wife decided she liked an Acura TSX. We agreed to purchase tomorrow. A lot more money, but a very nice car.

Guess I'll be looking at TSX forums a bit.

regards

Heh, I was actually looking to get an 05 TSX! I just want to sell my current car first.

TexasHonda, did you do any research on the 1st gen TSXs? Any issues to look out for? What's the millage of the car that your wife got, and is it a 5AT or 6MT?

Do it, they are really nice cars. Stay away from the 04's.
