Alright guys, its been real...

I have sold/traded the TL and am now a proud owner of an '12 Maxima S.

I know I did not contribute much to this site but I was pretty active when I actually cared about the TL in the earlier years. I have grown from a boy to a man since owning the TL and I have love stains on the seats and the ceiling to prove it.

I have learned a lot from you all and will miss this forum dearly. I actually lost the love for the TL in the later years but looking back since day one, my car was rock solid! The engine was still running strong when I let my baby go yesterday! Mind you I am the most manliest man you will ever meet but I did sit in my car one last time before I handed my keys over and felt my heart dropped just thinking of departing my car after 15 yrs (1997 2.5TL with 160k mi) within the next 5 minutes. I am still a man, right guys?

It is very dependable. Our cars were built and assembled in Japan. The only thing that got me to lose interest in my car was mainly cosmetic wear and tear - paint got "cloudy," door handles were eff'ed up, ripped leather seats, broken a/c vents, slow windows, etc., etc.,

Agg, are you from college station?

Sure you're still a man, I think it is a characteristic of a man to get such a close attachment to his vehicle. Every car that I have traded in, I missed it for quite a while after.

Got pics of the n00b?

I feel your pain. I had to let go, a friend of the family now owns the TL. So at least I get visitation rights...

Sad to see another one go. Yours was clean, dude.

Stateside, I pat my car to say either good morning or goodnight. If we have a nice run one night, I say thanks for working hard. And when I got into the bad accident, I thanked her for protecting me. You're not alone in appreciating your car, .

~Cheers~

2012 Nissan Maxima S It is pretty fun to drive. It is an automatic 3.5 V6 290hp. What is cool about this car is it has CVT, meaning that when you floor it, it will just accelerate until you let go of the gas - You do not feel it shifting gears. It literally is a 4 door sports car.

Yeah, I am starting to miss it even though it is way weaker than my current car. It was just a car that was always with me when I went through college.

Nobody want ANY of my parts??

Where's the part where the head gasket goes? The cylinder engine thing? Might need that thing.

Never get infatuated with full moons. Forget the Tl and live forever. Infatuations will only make you older.

- aftermarket brand spanking new front brake pads. I can't remember the brand but its in the garage in the box it came with - $50

Good luck on your next endeavor. The TL world will miss another lost legend. Too bad some of those parts don't fit on my 3.2.

Sorry for the bump but I still have these parts for sale. Seems like nobody want any of these JDM parts?? I will let them go for cheap!! Its just stuff sitting in my room, garage, living room collecting dust. I have no use for them and really need to get rid of them, for real.

I'm sure somebody want some of these things??

-Value Sports spoiler (will give decal as well)
-Value Sports rear lip
-Mugen grill (for 2.5TL)
-Azect grill (for 25TL)
-JDM tails (took out the orange reflector inside)
-OEM Acura wood shift knob

Let me know by emailing me at mnguyen22@gmail.com

I wish I could find a way to drop the car an inch perhaps (mild lowering). I just put my TL into 2nd car state and so I can do a couple of fun things now that it's not the daily driver. However my only options now seem to be putting on JDM parts (which holds no interest), electrical things I can do (DRL from fog lights!), and taking my sweet time on things that might have the car not drive able if I get lazy in the middle of something such as using dual caliper Legend pistons -- it can sit for a week or two if I get busy.

The aftermarket world has moved along and I don't know what the aftermarket world offered when this was a newer car.

OEM lightbulbs for the headlights lasted 14 years, and the headlight lenses are still nice and clear. (Can't say that for a LOT of cars) ATF flush has been very enjoyable, as it was long overdue.

I really want to correct the horrible understeer as much as possible. Is the Legend strut tower brace the only thing?

^ Get a rear sway bar meant for a 97 Accord sedan. I still have mine wrapped up and in the original Tanabe box. From suspension to body stuff, JDM is the only way to go. Not necessarily JDM OEM, but just stuff only sold over there.

If I'm not mistaken, someone was selling their RS*R springs recently. If you've got a 3.2 they'd fit the bill perfectly. Unfortunately, my own suspension is gone, as that would've provided what you were looking for.

~Cheers~
