Im thinkin about getting some new wheels. if i do, these 17's are going in the trash lol anyway, i was just curious about what offsets we are able to fit on our model cars. i have 2 questions for you all. 1) i have a 2.5 (4 lug) and was wondering if our bolt patterns are 4x114.3?? 2) what offsets will fit on 2.5's?? the options are ET20, ET38, and ET42. ET42's are the ones with the big lip, right??? thats what i want!!!!!!!!

 

for sure the ET42. ET42's will fit and I cannot remember the bolt pattern for a 2.5TL but you can find it anywhere that wheels are sold

 

I have 18x7.5 with a 45mm offset and 225/40 tires and it rubs.

 

the rims im getting are GIOVANNA MAE and they're 18x8.5! 8.5 is pretty wide and that'll look so dope. the amazing thing is it fits 4 lugs! 4x114.3! anyway, so if 45 offset rubs, do you think 42 will??

96TL: how big is your lip? do you have a close up pic of your wheel?

 

8.5 is way too wide for a TL ,I dont think it will even fit, but if it does it will stick out about 1inch and I dont think it will look good.

I havent tried it (8.5), but when I was going to get my rims I wanted a wide rim so I could also get wide tires and I called a rim shop and they told me that an 8.5 will not fit. I then called another shop to double check and they said that it will fit but it will stick out about 1" and I will defenitely not be able to lower the car so I eventually went with 18X8 and 225/40/18 tires.If you have the money you can get the rims and then check for yourself.
what size of tires do you plan to wrap around your wheels?

 

I dont have a close up pic. I'll tell you one thing, those rims will NOT fit your car. Mine are 18x7.5 with a 45 offset and they rub. 18x8.5 with a 45 offset will stick out an inch and look horrible. Sorry man but its time to look for a new wheel. How much are you looking to spend?

 

damn, just when i FINALLY found some 18's that look decent that has our bolt pattern, i find out it wont fit. i got hook ups on these wheels too. check it out...1800 chrome! thats without tires though. the regular price for these bad boys are 2780 chrome. oh well.. the search continues....
