after neglecting my car for over a year.....
i finally brought my tl back to my house... its been sitting in my shop this whole time while i decided if i was going to finish with the whole wide body fiasco.. at this point, i think i might just repaint the car without the fender flares.. been busy with other projects so i had to keep the tl on the side.. i brought the car out because i needed to smog the car... so here are some photos of how the car looks now.. (need to wash the car)
as for maintence since i brought the car out.. here is the list..
1. new OBD II cat. (50 state legal) took racing cat. off
2. new resonator (too loud with the dual 5 zigen fireballs)
3. new optima red top battery
4. new timing belt
5. new water pump
6. new fuel filter
7. new cross drilled/slotted rotors (all four)
8. radiator flush
9. tranny flush
10. oil/filter change
11. new oem ait filter (put stock intake on to pass smog)
12. new spark plugs
13. 3 stage fuel injection cleaning
14. new axles (one broken cv boot)
15. four wheel alignment
total spent: a little over $2500.00

The pic you used in the preview section for the kit is CLEAN. I just wish I could get that front grill as well... Not the mesh one, but the Inspire one:

thanks guys.. yea, the car runs much better but a lot slower due to the obd2 cat and resonator.... oh well... a few months back, i was considing parting out the car and selling it since i didn't really want to dump 2gs+ to make the car road worthy, but since i did, its harder for me to let this car go... as for the wide body "vip style", i really don't know.. its difficult for me to decide since i would have to cut out the fenders and quarter panels to make it a true widebody.. i think i would have a hard time selling the car in the future with the stock body panels cut out... another thing is, i like the way my car looks right now... i like the sporty look on the tl more than the vip style... i think i should just keep the tl sporty and make my lexus vip style.. i don't know, at this point, i'm just glad to be able to finally drive the tl..

I hear ya with the money thing, I keep going back and forth about what to do, but I just fixed some thigns on mine, and now I definately plan on keeping it a good deal longer. All my mods too, I can undo.
I think your TL looks great right now, and the widebody would probably look more impressive on the Lexus
