MY A/C doesn't get cold, so I took it to the repair shop. Basically, what they told me was that the wire is broken between A/C compressor and the computer, so there is nothing to tell the A/C to get cold.

Does anyone know where I could go about obtaining another wire to fix this?

Unless you really trust these guys, I would get a 2nd opinion. Wiring faults are rare, but do occur.

If it is a damaged wire, it needs repair, not replacement. Why didn't you tell them to fix it?

This is a weird diagnosis...a wire? How were they able to tell? How much do they want to fix it...or is it one of those...we do not really know until we dismantle it type...

if its really a wire they would of fixed it in 10 minutes and charged you $20 for the heck of it. i doubt their diagnosis is correct, orlese why wouldnt they just fix it there?

Have you tried recharging it? or even changing the climate control?

Can you give tittle more info than this?
So, it turns on but does not blow cold air? Does the display work? when was the last time you replaced antifreeze?

Is this a dealer? An AC repair shop? Or just an auto shop?

Better take to an AC repair shop.
