Many auto electronics suffer from poor solder jts on the circuit board. Sometimes repair can be achieved by removing circuit board, inspecting w/ powerful magnifying glass, and repairing suspect solder jts.

If you're not into this sort of repair, I would look for a good used part using car-part.com to search near your zip code.

Download the online manual to understand how to access the display assemby.

good luck

Actually, I have the same problem with my AC display, only, the blower will turn on randomly. I took apart my front console, and the stock wiring harness from the stereo seems suspect. There's a certain way I can jiggle it to stop it from blowing randomly. Sometimes, the display will show jibberish as well. It's an interesting problem to have = D

There is something I found in my manaul about the bulbs burning out. My control works fine, just that the display does not. It was actuall a feature that I really liked. Chose a temperatrure and get it. BAM!
