Is the hose labeled "8" the brake booster hose ya'll are sucking the seafoam thru? Where do you disconnect to suck up the seafoam? This is for a 96 3.2.

disconnect at #13 and use the disconnected end of the pipe to suck in.

#13 on the left or right? Pretty sure you mean the right because I'm pretty damn sure you don't want to suck the seafoam into the brakebooster. Not that it could anyway, the brakebooster shouldn't be pulling a vacuum, it should have a vacuum pulled on it.

So I seafoam my ride through the pcv and the gas tank. It did nothing for me, there was no smoke wat so ever, maybe on little puff and that was it. I was expecting a lot of smoke...

This is how I did it, I start the engine, pour in seafoam 1/4, then turn off engine. Pour some into the gas tank while waiting 5mins to start up the car. When 5min hit nothing happen as I started my engine. So should I have waited a little longer for smoke to happen?

I'm reading a lot, but I still have a question or two. So right before I do my next tune up I should put some of the seafoam ("deep creep" I'm guessing?" into a cup and suck it through the intake and let it sit for about 20 minutes, then drive it for awhile. Then, suck it though my brake booster I'm assuming the same way (car on, correct?) and let it sit, then drive it as I did with the intake? Am I Right with this? Sorry, I have like no knowledge of this stuff. :p

You can seafoam just because but use the PCV line and the brake booster line. Let it sit for 15 minutes and then start it up. You are going to have to rev the car a little bit because the car is still trying to adjust to the seafoam but then you should see results. Make sure you have a friend with you though so that one of you can hold the cup of seafoam and the other lightly giving the car gas (not passing 2 rpms). Also after this you are going to have a CEL so just disconnect the battery for 30 seconds reconnect the battery and the CEL will be gone. Hope I covered everything for you.

Thanks you, but I have 2 more questions I think. For one, (this is probably a dumb question) do you suck the seafoam from the end of the line that goes to the engine, or to the intake itself? I was guessing for sure that you would disconnect the line from the intake and leave the other end connected to the engine and it would suck. The same question in the way of the brake booster. Also, what is the benefit of putting it in the brake booster?

All you have to do is pull up the PCV line and use a straw to suck the seafoam out of a cup. The benefit of the brake booster i believe is the same as the PCV line it cleans out the crud and carbon build up that is in the car. The seafoam also helps the car idle better.

No you don't have to change the line some do but some don't it is up to you. I didn't change my spark plugs because I changed mine in 2007 so they should still be fine, but it all depends on when they were changed last.

Gotcha, the one last thing I'm confused about still, and I know you already covered this, which end of the line is still connected when you suck it with the other end? If you can understand that.

If I understand you correctly you are asking like with side of the line does the sucking. It is the part of the PCV line that you can pull up. The end of it that you can replace if you want (some do) is small enough so that you can put a straw in it and it easy for the car to "drink up" the seafoam. Tell me if I understood that correctly.

And the part of the line that you can pull up is circled in the picture on the first page, correct? The circled part by the cylinders does the sucking?

Yes, if you have a 3.2 then it is the pictures with the white circle and if you have a 2.5 then it is the pictures with the purple circle.

No I just seafoamed the PCV line and I also did it with my friend's car. Then there are some that do both, but I only did one and it worked, and also the idle was quieter.

the brake booster is a main vac line and can be used safely
If you cant find the main TB vac port, use the brake vac line ine

In a Seafom DIY of 2Gen. TL explain to use 3 cans of seafoam. One for the pcv, other for brake booster and for the fuel tank with 1/4 of gas. This is ok?

Based on the diagram you have up, I believe he meant #13 on the left side of the diagram. The side that is going to the engine side (obviously).

I don't understand all the questions...

Seafoming helps clean the carbon deposits out of the engine. We use the vacuum lines to get the Seafoam into the intake side of the engine. The PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) valve tube is easy to get to, as is, the brake booster vacuum line. A Haynes or Chilton (there's also the online version) manual would avoid some of the easier questions, like, "Where is the PCV valve located?".

Sorry for venting... I understand that DIys don't come about knowledge unknowingly and this site is very helpful. That being said, read the threads you participate in and any links pointing to other threads of the same nature. Also, messing up of ones own vehicle, is no one else's fault but your own.

I did it 2 weeks ago but I havent really gotten a good chance to evaluate it. My car had to go to the shop the day after I did it. (nothing to do with the seafoam)

Hey guys... I need some help!

I did the seafoam thing, it worked great, I loved the improvement to the cars performance. I put it in the pcv intake I believe it's called.

However, a week later when I disconnected my negative battery terminal to reset the CEL, and then reconnected it, my car wouldnt start!

I had to get the car towed to a mechanic because it was at a gas station. I have a lot of after market electrical stuff in the car, so I towed it to an auto electric guy. He is having a hard time figuring out what is wrong with it, he thinks it has to do with the original alarm system in the car. Does that sound right?

Any ideas on what is going on with my ride?

This happened to stas2007 and all he did was disconnect the factory alarm and the ca started. Then he also found out that his starter was bad.

and there are minor problems with my 3.2tl
i have a oil leak but im not sure where it is coming from?
my fog lights turn on and off all the time and flicker while i am driving it is very annoying.
I want to do the seafoam but im scared that my car is going to get all messed up by clearing what ever is all backed up in it.
I went to vavoline and had my oil changed and they told me that my serpintine belt was about to break but that was 4k ago and nothing has happened i would like to do it on my own instead of paying 400+.

Alrighty, I'd like specifics.

Now, I am a previous seafoamer.

I did it to my 95 Nissan Altima, and my 96 Infiniti J30. I only did fuel, crankcase, and pcv line in. Even did it to my [at the time] girlfriend's 95 Subaru Legacy.

I'm seeing Transmission though... Transmission? Seriously? Is there a special Seafoam for the transmission?

Should I do [insert seafoam type] seafoam before a transmission flush or after?

yes there is a seafoam for the tranny too.. its red in color and i bought it at autozone... and it is supposed to clean out any sludge in your tranny gears...

i dumped a bottle in a couple hundred miles before i did the tranny screen replacement... then did a 3x's drain and fill to try and get most of all the old stuff out and filled with new fluid...

alright i read all this and it confused me even more, luckily i know a guy that knows his shit so my only question is if I just changed the plugs/wires, motor oil and tranny screen. is it cool to do a seafoam or should i have done that before everything? i just don't wanna do it and have a plug foul out. should i wait til da next tune up to da da seafoam? i plan to do the motor one thru the pcv and brake booster not the fuel, is dat enough?

There is a product called RXP developed by a guy in Texas. It's sold in O'riellys and Autozone here in texas. don't know if its available elsewere. I put it in my Ranger p/u and it cleared a fouled plug. but it cleans the carbon in the engine without all the hassle of seafoam. check it out on the net. I'm getting ready to get some for my 96 tl. I will let you know.
