96 TL Pricing?

Hey Guys. I've been thinking about selling my 96 TL and getting something a little newer. I was just wondering what everyone thought would be a good price for it. It's a 96 TL 3.2 with the premium package and it has just under 150K on it. It is in excellent condition, all it needs is a new exhaust and it will need new tires by winter. It's located in Mpls, MN. I was thinking 7,500 for it, but is that a little high or a little low?

That is quite a bit of miles and the car is 10 years old. I would think if you were going the private party route, I would say 6,000 or so.

You might be able to swing 7,000 but to me in a buyer's mind, there's a huge diff between 6 and 7.

Check NADA. Or AutoTrader. Can not sell for more than what the market is buying. Unless you know somebody who knows your car, and they want it.

7,000 at the most.

7,500 if the interior and exterior are in excellent shape

that price is insane if you ask me! even 6,000 is! i bought my 98 3.2TL with traction in november of 05 with 63,000 on it for 9500! all it needed was tires, rotors, and brakes! id never buy a car (no matter wtf it is) with 150,000 on it to begin with but for 6-7.5?!!??!!?? never!

Yup - thats expecting too much..

I bought mine for 7500 (97 3.2 TL Premium 125000 (sound +TCS+Heated mirrors+Heated seats)) and it needed new tires and a speed sensor. I paid more since I've fantasised abt having a 1st gen TL and I just had to get one....but I felt low later on knowing I overpayed !!

So you might luck out if you find a TL infatuated ass like me but it's unlikely !!

Yep I'd say $5-$6K if your lucky, but still a very nice car for someone. The 1st Gen TL is a solid car. I loved mine!!
