2.5TL strut help plz!! plz!!
I know it seems this must have been beaten to death in past threads, but it's hard to get a defintate answer.
I have 194K and need to replace stock struts like immediately.
I really don't wanna get "monroe" struts from autozone or whatever but will if I have to. But i really want to know my options.
It seems as though any 96-97 Honda Accord struts will fit on the 2.5's.
Can anyone please verify this?
And does it apply to fronts as well as rears?
If anyone has cross-reference numbers please post them.
Looking through the forums it seems the KYB GR-2's are best OEM replacement.

Tell me what you think and if they will fit.
Can anyone suggest good/cheap springs? (not looking for much drop)

I really dont know about the struts, but I think what I would do is ask for the parts numbers for the struts for the 96-97 Accord and the part number for your TL and see if the parts numbers are the same. If they arent the same then they arent gonna fit.
For springs, Eibach is known as being among the best and the Prokit is only 1 inch lowering, so it wont really be much at all. I know about $200-250 isnt cheap, but I think that will be much less expensive than paying for OEM replacements which are always expensive as hell.
The earliest I can check is Tuesday. Send me a PM on tuesday so I dont forget to check for you and if no one has been able to help before then.

Ok I changed my mind, I'm not really interested in springs.
I just need to know the best/for the money aftermarket struts.
(Assuming struts/shocks are the same thing)
I mean just something decent that will work with my stock springs.
But please let me know if the above mentioned KYB's for the '97 Accord will fit.
That's a hot price and I need new struts bad!
