Lightbulb 2.5 vs 3.2 size & future build?

I've read briefly that the 3.2 TL is a bigger car and that parts from the windshield forward are not interchangeable? Is this true?

I'm interested because I've recently gained a huge enthusiasm for the 1992-1994 Acura Vigor 5 Speed GS which I'm on the hunt for and am looking at related 2.5 TL's for parts since Vigors are rare.

If someone could please, let me know what's possible between the 3 cars.

I also don't know of any Vigor forums other than the lifeless Vigor Club website from the early 2000's, so I'm posting here as this is my only relative outlet. The Acura Legend page on Facebook doesn't let me post questions about the Vigor there as it's not Legend related despite it being the next closest thing to a Legend from that time period.

My future build for the '94 Vigor GS 5 speed (Arcadia Green Pearl or preferably Granada Black Pearl, both with EBONY interior) is as follows:

The possible:
-Complete OEM restoration as close as possible.
-JDM Headlights with Projector beam retrofit.
-JDM Taillights with LEDs and LED tube accenting (like current Acura's).
-5 Lug wheel conversion with '03 TL-S 17" wheels (See below).
-Very subtle drop in ride height and wheel spacers for a flush fit.
-Dual Exhaust.
-Bigger brakes with Acura Brembo Calipers.
-LED interior lighting (Gauges, Ambient lighting, radio/ clock interface) upgrade to pure white and purple-white mix.
-Sound proofing Material.
-Audio upgrade (No 12 Sub BS. Added speakers in rear doors, better all around, aftermarket amp with OEM GS head unit)

The Chore:
-Higher compression.
-Larger cam profile.
-Injector upgrade.
-Exhaust Manifold upgrade.
-ECU tuning is unheard of with the G25a.
-5 Lug conversion seems complicated with mixed Accord and Odyssey parts.
-FINDING OEM PARTS.

The 'Not worth it' Things:
-Just about everything above.
-AWD (SH-AWD ideally but so many sensors involved and a non-existent transmission) transplant.
-Shortening the rear over hang. Ideally cutting off the entire back of the car (where safe away from rear suspension components) and re-attaching it with a couple of inches removed form the middle of the two cuts.*
-1991-1993 Integra Sedan taillight conversion.*

*Lots of body work involved.

I know it all sounds silly. I just want a really clean, modernized Acura Vigor solely because of their rarity, uniqueness, 5 Cylinder engine, perfect, classical 90's Honda design and FR proportions.

I don't want a Legend, their too big, and I don't want an Integra, their too... small and cliche for my tastes (Though I love every Honda)

Anyway let me know guys. I would appreciate any links to any information you could give. Thanks so much.

You can use 2.5 TL parts, just keep in mind they're ALL OBD-II vs. the Vigor's OBD-I.

The 3.2 TL's motor is basically a 91-95 Legend Type I with OBD-II and a 1996-2004 RL transmission.

And yes, the engine engine bay is different, the suspension is different.

What specifically do you want to do with the Vigor?

Well with the modifications I want to do with it, I'm sure it wouldn't be road legal (AWD swap, shortened rear overhang (Compromise of rear crumple zones) but ideally a weekend car and occasional track/ show car for Honda/Acura meets, specifically NALM would be all. Don't think I would want to risk daily driving it in a city and having it totaled or stolen.

Good to know about the parts, I guess. Would it be worth it to swap over to OBD-II? I thought OBD-I had better performance and in some cases fuel economy. I see Del Sol guys complain about the OBD-II Del Sols and Civics not doing as well as older OBD-I's.

I'd stick with OBD-I simply because you can keep your manual transmission with the G25 motor. As far as I know, the G25 was never used in a manual transmission on OBD-II.
