Hey, I am deciding on which car to get as a first car.

What is your take on it? Are TLs and ELs good cars for first time drivers?

TL seems kinda "long", like the Legend. ELs seem like the perfect size. Is there much of a difference driving a "long" car like the TL versus driving a smaller car like the EL? (In terms of intersection turning, parking, etc?)

I am very excited on deciding which car to get. Theres so many nice cars, and I just have so many questions. But right now I think I should just be open to advices and opinions.

Also I am limited to automatic transmissions.

The EL will be better on gas because it has a smaller engine (1.6 4cyl?). It's also basically a civic, so maintenance will be cheaper. The TL has more amenities such as climate control, as well as more power. It really depends on what you want/need. The TL and EL are completely different and there isn't much to compare.

I take it you're from Canada?

 

The TL turns sharply, nearly as tight of a turn circle as the EL. It also has about double the power if you get the 3.2 model.
