Just had this 4 inch snow, slush and ice storm and the wipers could not go down all the way during my trip home with the wipers on. Then today I noticed the wipers will not park back under the hood - I cleared all the ice and snow and then tried pushing them down (per the manual but they will not budge). Si I re-adjusted them manually by loosening up the wiper arm nuts and re-tightening them, but now it appears that the wipers do not sweep as wide as they used to (its about 4 inches from the left edge of the windshield instead of one inch - the way it used to be). Any ideas whats the remedy for this ? Appreciate any ideas Guys !

Problem fixed - the manual was correct, just have to pull on both wiper arms downward until you feel them both slip into the next setting or notch (about 2 inches down). My hunch why it didn't work the first time is that there was still some ice build up under one of the arms. I also re-adjusted both arms to the normal parked setting (going under the hood so they are un-seen when parked) and tested them and they work perfectly. Thanks to those who checked this out anyway ! btw - its a 98 RL with 92k and it runs great overall.
