What are these called?
 

2001 Acura Rl ~180k miles.
my trunk is leaking and I think its at the bottom of the windshield. What is/are the rubber-metal-rubber parts called? is it one piece or multiple? Can I just clean it all and put a layer of silicone on it to reseal?

if you look closely, the rubber-metal-rubber at the bottom of the windshield is separated.

this is in the middle of the windshield, the black line above the metal is supposed to be sealed against the metal.

I would suggest you clean the area thoroughly, window cleaner and some rags are enough. Once the groove is clean,insert the seal in the groove. The corners can be sealed with silicone. The leak in the trunk could be because of the sunroof drainage line.
