Upgrading the hid bulbs...need advice and pics

I have been looking and reading posts for a while today and want to either go with the 6000k or 8000k for the low beams. I've heard some controversy over the ballasts not being able to handle the power, but with the bulbs both running at 35 watts like stock there shouldn't be an issue with the bulbs burning up wires. I tried to search with no luck and would like to see pics of ur setups with any upgraded bulbs you are using, preferably before and after shining against a white wall or something. Sorry to be so picky but this shows the true color and spread of light. thanks in advance.

I upgraded mine to 12K I believe. It's been a while since I did it. They are very blue, almost purple for over a year without any issues at all.

that is a downgrade, not an upgrade. You will loose visibility.

12000 K color is too dark. You can hardly see any at night. I don't know exactly what color 8000 K is but it looks like majority of ziners use 6000 K, then 8000 K. I still use standard 4300 K from Acura.

I mistated myself. I upgraded to 10K, and they look nice and give awesome visibility. I remember them being a bear to put in. The nice thing about them is that they lite up the reflective paint on troopers cars from a long, long, long way out.

I lost visibility at night going from 4300K to 6000K. I might switch back to the 4300K tonight.

I have a friend who just used one of those head light plastic cleaning kits on his Jeep Cherokee. Prior to using the kit the plastic covers were cloudy white. After he was done they were crystal clear.
