Hi RL Owners,

I have a 98 Acura RL . When i hit a bump at high speed i noticed a breaking sound at my rear suspension. I drove 1 week after that incident and the car was stable on highways though except local irregular roads. Whenever i hit a hole or bump i will hear hurting noice at the back. So i went to a local Midas and had it inspected for suspension.

They came up saying my rear Sway Bar links had broken and charged me $290 for a pair for parts alone..... ( $145 for each one)..and $80 for the labor.

I was really disappointed becoz initially i thoght is a rip off!! I checked online and it said $65 for each part.

Just curious to know is it the right fix ? Does it take $290 for replacing 2 sway bar links for 98 RL?

A pair of rear sway bar links are selling on eBay at under $40. They are very easy to be replaced by oneself.

i have replaced both very simple to do. 1st it was my Right side that was screwed up. i fixed that side then a week later the other side went bad so i swapped it out. Grand total around $90.00 advance auto parts

damn.........They ripped me off!!!! They ( Midas) charged me with $290 for the parts sway bar links (2)......I have the bill..............

Is there any way to SUE THOSE BASTARDS!!!!!!!!
