Anyone mount a new Scanguage in their RL yet. I wanted to get some ideas as to where others have mounted it. In my other cars the OBDII port was near the streeing wheel well so it made it easier to conceal the wire and run it up to dash and install it. But for RL OBDII port is in the ashtray area and I am not sure how to achieve a setup that is clean and also so that I can see the easily .

 

Is their another OBDII plug other than the one in the Ash Tray ?

Also is there a way to route a wire from with plug in ashtray under the gear lever trim to the side of the footwell ?

 

You could route the cable behind the center console and then under the dash, to whatever position you mount it. I mounted mine in place of the ash tray. Little trimming with a dremel tool and some epoxy. Works great, and as you can see the door still closes properly:
