Passenger side interior door handle

I have a 1998 Acura RL that I'm slowly restoring. My passenger side interior door handle snapped. How do you DIY with replacing the handle do you have to take off the door panel or pop open the cover that the two screws are hidden behind. Would appreciate some suggestions.

I had to replace my exterior door handle on my 2000 RL last year and it requires removing the door panel. I don't believe it's necessary with your broken interior door handle. The link below is a video for replacing an interior door handle assembly on a 98 Honda Accord which should be a very similar process to you need to do. It's a pretty straightforward and shouldn't prove difficult if you take your time. Good luck.
