odometer mileage from OBD?

Our 97RL just lost the odometer display. From searching, I know there are ways to replace. As a short term solution, can I get mileage information via the OBD interface?

If I remember correctly, all odometer information is stored within the cluster and only signal that is shared with the ECU would be ECT, RPM and MPH.
