Not Your Standard Radio Code Question

I've searched through thousands of posts about radio codes but have yet to find anything describing my problem.
The issue I have is that the number 6 button on my radio is completely dead. I'm ok with only having five presets, but my radio code includes the number 6 so I won't be able to enter the code the next time my battery gets disconnected.
Any advice on fixing the button, or is there some way to change or disable the radio code?

Is the contact dirty? Can you spray some compressed air around the button to clean it out?

I had the exact same problem, except it is the #5. I have to keep on pressing that number. Sometime it took days for it to work. After a while, I installed aftermarket one lol
