Need help identifying issues
Looking for some help resolving these issues:
SRS light keeps coming on after I did the reset DIY
VSA/ABS light still on: replaced pads and rotors and topped off brake fluid
EGR P0404 restricted flow: gonna do the diy egr/manifold cleaning
Tranny still shifts harshly: changed shocks, front tranny mount and fluid exchange but problem persists
all comments and input welcome. Thanks
Ray

ABS was a problem in my old RL... the previous owner had a bad whine from the ABS module under the hood. $$$ to replace it or just unplug it. He chose to not fix it and that light was always on in my car...

I know when we spoke this past weekend, it was bugging the daylights out of you, lol. If I can find the continuity tests for the wires, I'll PM them to you. The manual has them, just can't seem to find it. If resistance is off, it'll also throw an SRS code.

I used these links for ABS sensor issues and diagnosing that the TCS/ABS lights were from the sensor being bad...
Use this for codes: /forums/f40/dtc-codes-acura-rl-68210/
or : /forums/f40/abs-dtc-codes-47635/
((--links don't work. they go to acura world.com so check there or type acura world.com with no space followed by /forums/f40/... etc.--))
You can use a wire or a paper clip to to jumper the plugs on the abs connector, it's located on the passenger side under the glove box. Wheel sensors are very tough to get out and they can be easily damaged putting them back in. A lot of WD-40 or etc. will help.
Follow this guide for rear wheel sensor kudos to tatng (this link does work): http://www.acura-legend.com/vbulleti...ictures-92195/
When I changed mine, I used a flat head and a hammer and went to town bashing the edges of the old sensor and consistently spraying lubricant in the slits that I made. I eventually punched out the middle magnet out of frustration.... But with the magnet out the sensor housing it makes it easier. After pounding it a whole bunch it finally came out in pieces. Sanded down the hole, threw some anti-seize on the new sensor and lightly tapped it back in to place. No lights as soon as I started back up. Of course this is if the abs sensor is the issue. I also bought my sensor off ebay. Mine was used. good luck!
