Navi rebooting periodically
Over the past 8 years, the RL has been relatively trouble free. It's had it's occassional hiccups, but nothing like its European counterparts.
Recently, my Navi has been beeping and rebooting. It seems that it thinks the door to the DVD drive is open (it displays a message saying the door is open or that the disc is missing). The door is indeed close, though if I apply some pressure to the door, it corrects the issue.
I realize there is a sensor to the door (it's located in the upper left corner of the drive unit, and a "pin" on the door closes and applies pressure to this switch).
Has anyone had a similar issue with their Navi? The dealer says it's been a problem with the units located under the passenger seat, but not very often with the trunk-mounted units. Sounds like it would end up being sent in to Kenwood. I'll find out the next time it's in for its oil change what the damage will be.
