my key fob for my 04 3.5 rl broke. i ordered 2 from online. say somewhere that i had to get one that says memory. so i have keys for seats 1 and 2. the fcc match my old key but for some reason cant get the chirp to work again. i held the trunk + lock and didnt get any type of indication of anything at all.. anybody know whats going on?

Did you re-program the fobs?

You have to program your remotes. The FCC ID is really the type of remote it is. It's not going to work right off the bat because then what would stop me from buying a couple of 2004 Acura RL remotes online and then going off to some parking lot somewhere are gain access to that vehicle. It's a security thing.

 

sorry for the late response. but i do have a 04. when i was looking up new key fobs they said make sure i get ones for memory seats or they wont work. so thats what i did. and then the memory seats dont link up as well as it doesnt chirp. i programmed the remotes just fine. lock unlock trunk and panic work just fine. but the chirp doesnt. the remotes wont blink like the unlock and trunk open combo doesnt anything.
