Sorry to see you go

How are your headlights retrofitted? Projectors? Any pics? ?

What are you looking for for the 04 tailights?
And how about the pioneer AVH unit as well?

Thanks

As I mentioned Pm me for pricing. Anyway, the retrofitted healight came with OEM FX35( I believe) projector with clear lens. I'm to lazy to post any pic, but it is should be in the photograph thread lol
BTW, the 04 taillight is for the passenger side.

That really sucks about the engine though. How much is the government program giving you? Won't they just scrap it?

And I know its not on the list but are you willing to sell the AC control unit? I'm interested in dismantling one to consider an led swap.

LOL I wish. There only a few RL around my area and they also have high mileages. Then later I have to worry about the emission test again . If I get a new car then I don't have to worry about the test and it has a warranty

you can't taste a smell.

Good luck with the sale! Too bad you're retiring a classic!
Also, just my opinion but a seller too lazy to post pictures doesn't bode well.

But at the same time... I was in that situation.

'96 with 274,xxx miles... bought a replacement and no problems. Swapped over all my parts to the new one and didn't waste any more money buying parts for anything. In the long run, replacing the '96 with the '04 saved more money and i got a reliable car with it.

Just a suggestion.

He seemed pretty set on getting the warranty that comes with brand new. To me, the allure of no car payment keeps me driven to keep my girl on the roads in tip top shape.

Would you consider selling it? I just want the guts of it. I don't care about condition of the face.

Good news guys! I fixed my RL and it passed the emission test, which mean I can have fun for another 2 years. I will getting a coilover for my car, but first I need to get the rack and pinion replace.

I did an tune up. I changed the spark plug and cleaned the ignition coil, it was soaking with oil. Which kind of piss me off because I spent $250 to replace the valve gasket and it still had oil in it! I also added heavier oil to the car and run a bottle of techron in the gas tank.
The car will live for another two years, I don't know if it going to live another year or not lol

Ok guys, I need your opinion on this. I getting tired to fill the power steering fluid every three days lol, so I need to get this fix ASAP. So I got a quote from wheelworks to replace the rack and pinion for $1200. The part cost $641, and I forget to ask them if the part rebuild or new and the labor is $540. Should I go for it? My coilover is push back to the end of the year

There are DIY on how to swap it out yourself... and from what i've seen / been told from people / friends that have done it... if you have a lift, it's is a very easy job.

So, go to Autozone and buy a Lifetime Warranty part and replace it yourself and call it a day. I'm about to do the same thing. Why pay someone to do it when there is info and plenty of help all over?

I have the repair PDF file lol. The only thing I'm concern is the steering wheel joint( near the break paddle) and the joint that connects the rack to the steering wheel column.
It look very complicated hahaa.

Should I get the steering from the Autozone or on ebay. The autozone Duralast brand run about $442 + $180 for the core with a limited lifetime warranty.

Just a little update. We started the project and it was a b*tch. My bro spent 4 hrs today removing and installing the steering tack, and isnt even finish yet. The metal pipes were so difficult to put back on and we just wait till tomorrow and see what happen. Anyway, I got the rack for $175 plus $50 for the core. Hopefully the rack is not going to leak in 3 days lol
