does anyone use Ground control coilovers?

I have a 98 RL and my rear springs are sagging. I just put on 18" rims with new tires (225/45/18). They look great. Only thing is now when I go over the slightest bump my tires rub. I was thinking of rolling my fenders to make enough clearance for the wider tires. I need new springs and was wondering if anyone knows if I could use Ground control coilovers designed for either the 91-95 legend on OEM struts or even upgrade to a better strut? I've had awesome results with Eibach springs in the past and that's what made me interested in the Ground control kits. I don't want to go with regular coilovers because I can't afford it right now. I appreciate any feedback. Thanks in advance.

I don't know what is a ground control coilover, but you can get a coilover starting $600. Megan ez is the cheapest I think, basic tein and buddy club are in $700 range. Just check out 04-08 tsx coilover without damper setting so you can use your own top hat.

I just talked to a service advisor at a dealership and he said my springs are sagging in the rear because he thinks my shocks are blown. I would like a slightly lower drop...maybe about an inch gap in the front and rear. I do want slightly stiffer too but not too much more than OEM. Now I'm thinking Stock struts and Springs but off an 02-04 model the way I read in the TSX coilover post. What do you think?

I wonder if we could use TSX Struts with our top hats and use Ground control coilsleeves? Or is TSX coilovers the best bet?

I think the TSx coilover is the best choice because if you are getting the ground control and the structs that add up to be the same a a cheap coilver. Tein basic or Megan Ez Do some more searching and get what fit you.

Thanks...I talked to Marcus at Heal to toe and he said he wasn't aware we were using TSX coilovers for the RL's. He said he would go with something with Damper adjustments to play it safe that were getting the ride we want. He recommended Teing Street Advance for our cars.
