Coilover and part help.

hey whats up guys. so i read the coilover and lowering thread still kinda confused lol. well i wanna slam the rl. i recently just purchased a rl 99 and seem slike there is litterly nothing for this car lol. so i can understand im going to have to do some custom work lol no big deal i can deal with that. i wanna try to go a more vip style on this car.

but what can i do coilover wise. i have been told to use 04 acura tl coilovers and just use my oem top hats. i can deal with that. but is there any other option available.

and as for exhaust systems and intake systems is there any avialble for this car?

04-08 TSX. I've heard the type 1 is not good, they are too bouncy.

To my knowledge, lol you only reuse your tophat and add some spacer for the TSX setup. For the TL coilover, I think it is the same. So far the 04-08 TSX and 04-08 TL coilover fit our car.

Depends....

But you have the Kouki front end... Wings West didn't make a 99-04 front lip for the RL. So you either have to build your own lip, which i believe Pro-Parts made a thread about which is very easy to make and very durable... I've torn mine up a lot on St. Louis streets and it is easy to rub away the peeled back plastic and keep on going.
https://acurazine.com/forums/1g-rl-1996-2004-77/my-front-lip-diy-869758/

Otherwise, EvolutionAero, Garage Answer, and Skipper makes a lip for our cars... but they are rare and hard to find. Last time i located one, i think MemoryFab quoted me $800 to get it to my door... or maybe that was just to get the lip into the states from Japan. I don't remember exactly.

oh ok that sucks. yea i may just have to make my own home depot lip then lol. doesnt look bad but was hopeing for more options. im starting to relize there really isnt alot of options for this car lol. but last question say i wanted to do wide wheels on the car. what size and offset wheels would i be able to do to make it flush with fender maybe poke a little bit. im trying to figure that out as well.

Depends on your ride height that you want to go with, the diameter wheel you go with and offset.

I'm on 17x8 TL wheels and dropped a fairly good amount with almost zero camber to help conserve my tires... with a 5mm spacer making the offset (+40)... i rub a bit in the rears and non up front.

but it depends on what you want and then you have to adjust and go from there.

That size you mentioned should be doable with a little rolling and pulling.
