Brake Pad
#2
I'll tell you exactly what to get. I got these from Advance Auto based on a recommendation from another car forum. On my pristine, 98 RL with 185,000+ miles. Everyone at that forum used these with great success. And they're not expensive. They're silky smooth, last well and put out very little brake dust. The dust is white so not very visible, too.
REAR....... Pads are Wagner Thermo Quiet ....... part # QC536 for the rear. Replace your rotors, too. Use Wearever, Part # 141 514
FRONT..... Pads Wagners.... part# QC503 Front rotors part # 141513
I change the rotors regardless as to wear. They're cheaper than having the drums turned and little or no extra labor when you do the pads.
Did the rears about 22,000 miles ago. The fronts about 39,000 miles ago. Used them on another previous car, too that was at about 50,000 when I sold it.
Even if they're in stock order the parts online since they have online discounts.
