Another newbie question

Long story short...new-to-me 2000 3.5RL. The owners manual is pretty well-written and comprehensive, but.............

There are three "things" on the rear window "shelf" that have no obvious use, though they look like they are attachment points for something like a rear seat tonneau cover, or a shade device, or ??????

There are three of them, one centered and about 6" back from the seat, and the other two a quarter of the way in from either side and about midway from the seat to the window.

Can anyone tell me what they are?

TIA

I just had a thought

Could they be mounting points for head restraints?

Right there on page 39!

"Using child seats with tethers". There being very little chance of ever needing a child seat in my car, I glossed over the "Protecting Children" pages.

Thanks. That would have driven me nuts trying to figure out what they were. Can you say "obsessive-compulsive tendencies"?
