ABS & TCS Codes for 1999 RL

Hi all,
Can anyone please tell me what these codes mean for my 1999 RL:
ABS
1-7
3-2
8-1

TCS
3-1
4-8
5-6

I did a search and the codes I found are for the 1996 & 1997 RL. Not sure if they are different from the 1999 RL.

damn. I wouldnt think all those components would fail at once. Did you purchase the car this way? It could be a wiring or ecm problem as well reporting false errors.

try resetting at all?

I'd check the driver's rear wheel speed sensor first replace it if necessary, pull the battery and hope the code clears from there.

Thanks all for the reply. I have had the vehicle since June 2009 and no ABS and TCS lights until Dec. 2009. I used the procedures from this site to get the codes. I also tried the procedures from the manual to reset the ABS light, but that did not work. Will pulling the battery trick work?

Someone told me that if I want to reset the ABS, I should disconnect the battery from the car and touch both ends of the cable. I have not tried that trick because I don't want to damage any electronic components.

Just disconnect it for 10 minutes or so.

Make sure you have your radio/navigation anti-theft codes handy.

Ummmm, Just a thought rephrase your question with a lil better grammar so others can fully understand you. No offense, I get the gist of what you are trying to say. Give more details on whats going on with your situation.

I'm not going to be that kind. If you want people to help and understand please use proper English. Your not texting 12 year olds .

I know this is an old thread but, I have a 99 RL with a similar problem. The TCS light will appear after driving a little bit, but only when you make a turn. If you drive on a straight road, it may not come on at all. I took it to a Honda specialist and he hooked it up and said there were no trouble codes. Any insight or experience with a cure will be much appreciated.

P.S., if there is a way to retrieve codes without a special device, please let me know.

Sounds like a bad vehicle speed sensor or turn/yaw sensor.

Is there a method to display trouble codes without a computer?
