I just bought a spotless 2000 3.5RL (and just found this forum), and I like the look of your trunk with the "Acura" and "3.5RL" insignia absent (which I assume were once there like my 2000). I seems to me that those trim pieces are attached with adhesive...correct? If so, how does one remove them without creating any damage, how does one remove any residual adhesive, and is there any chance of the paint underneath being darker or lighter?

Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

Use water and dental floss combined in a sawing action with the water poured on to make the adhesive tape softer. You will need to rub or buff off the adhesive residue. You may need a lite solvent to remove some also.

try fishing line its a bit stronger than dental floss and a little smooth compound will take of and exsisting glue.

Do you have any pics of the side of the car? I want to see how the rims look on the car from the side.

The wheel gap looks pretty good from that picture. I've got 18's with 235/40/18 but my wheel gap is pretty bad so now i'm thinkin about going with a 45 profile instead of 40. How much finger gap do you have in the front and rear? You got a closeup pick of the front gap? haha.....thanks
