My friends Rl won't fully go into park. You can put the selector into park but the engine is still engaged. She said she put it in park before the car was fully stopped. Thanks for any input.

Read the last sentence, it's pretty obvious what happened. The pin that drops into the transmission to lock the gears is broken, shredded, whatever. It's a livable problem if you just use the handbrake of course... might be an expensive fix since they probably have to open up the transmission.
