2004 RL, lots of raod noise
Ive noticed since I have had my car that the RL's a bit noisy on the road and a bit "sticky" feeling. Is this a normal case for the RL? After driving an Avalon for so many years, I forgot what a real car felt like!

I'd blame the tires. The RL is rather quiet.

The Avalon does have a lot of sound deadening material. In fact, thats about all the Avalon is. The suspension, steering and everything else is quite basic and saves weight/money.

check for uneven wear or flaring on the tire treads from out of spec toe etc.
ive had several different sizes and tires on my 19's and any road noise i get is from them.
can u describe the sound/s?

Go back to the expensive Michelin tires (OEM) and your problem is solved...
