2002 Acura RL, what upgrades shall I do?
I just purchased a mint 2002 RL and I'm in love. I asked a friend I trusted what I should do if anything to upgrade it's performance, and he said cold air intake (iceman or K&N) and exhaust (GReddy). But the problem, none of those companies seem to sell their product for my year and model. What should I do?

There's no aftermarket intake and exhaust for first gen RL. You can buy an air intake for 2 gen Legend which is fit with 1 gen RL but it need a little bit of modification. There's no catback exhaust directly fit with ours. So you may buy an universial exhaust and weld it at your OEM catback exhaust pipe.

If your RL is equipped with TCS, you need to buy the 2-gen Legend intake w/ TCS.A lot of aftermarket parts for 2-gen Legend are directly or indirectly (?) compatible with 1-gen RL. You may buy them and make them fit with yours with a little bit of extra labor.

Actually you can buy an intake regardless of TCS option because you eventually have to cut the intake pipe somwhat at the intake manifold side to make fit nicely with your RL.

I'm ordering one, but won't be installing for a while, my car still has under 25000 miles and I don't want her to go under the knife unless she has too. So I'll probably wait til I do my timing belt to switch it. As well, that way I can see how it works for the guys who install it right away.
