Unhappy 2000 3.5 RL Fuel Gauge Inaccurate

Is there anyone out there having issues with there gas gauge ready too low when there is still up to 4 gallons of fuel left?

Example: When I refill my car when it's empty it takes between 14.5 and 15 gallons.

Since it has an 18 gallon tank I would like to take advantage of it and adjust the fuel gauge. Is that possible?

Thanks

I think this is normal characteristic of the vehicle.

I had mine go on a few times and I have never been able to put more than 15~16 gallons (even after driving many miles with light on).
