Hey ppl. I live in RI which is one the busiest states on I-95. I like to travel backroads and routes mostly. On my garmin "handheld" navi, avoiding highways are easy. Just click in AVOID HIGHWAYS. On this navi (the acura), i only see minimize highways... which in most cases for me, doesnt avoid them (when I KNOW that there is a way to avoid it). Is there a setting im missing, or is it really that bad? also, please note, im using the disc that actually came with the system in 04. Will an update solve this? ANY help would be much appreciated!

I think even the new Acura navy does this.

You can try easy route and see if it takes the backroads.

 

yea, id assume. the 04 navi does what it can but isnt all that to say the least. if there was a way to swap this old with the new, id do it.
