'02 VSA Troubleshooting

I'm trying to find the Service Check Connector (2P) that is supposed to be in the passenger foot well. I did find a yellow MES connector under the steering wheel. Is that the same thing?

I am troubleshooting my VSA Activation Indicator being on all the time. No other warning lights are on. Per the service manual this means a faulty VSA modulator so I've ordered a used one off ebay as my first step.

If the VSA stays on likely it will be the VSA module. Its the electrical side of the abs pump. It fixed my 2000 rl which had the same symptoms. ABS TCS and Vsa all stayed on constant. It was weird that my scan tool read some weird things in that system. Also double check your speed sensors as well with scan tool. I had compound problems. Hope you get things working. How much you end up getting the VSA module for?
